Hi, there! I bet you all are wondering how much pocketmoney you want to bring too Norway! I've made a view of how much for example one krone is in Zloty. I hope this will be useful.

Updates

Hi there!
A lot of things is going on right now so I wanted to shortly describe them ;)
First of all, both sides of our project has started collecting information about the places worth visiting. Students from Poland are going to add some posts soon about each place for you to get to know about them better and think if you'd like to see them :) We hope some of them will interest you, you're not going to be bored, we can assure you.
The second thing - a picture of our group. Finally, after a long time of trying we took it so you can see almost all of us (unfortunately, one girl is not on that photo). So here it is:


We also would like to know what do you guys think about talking on skype together. Of course we can talk with each other in our houses only in pairs but what do you think about the skype on one of the lessons with all of us, with the whole group? Let us know, in the comments below or in our group on Facebook :)

Okaay, the last thing we wanted you to know for now is that we've already bought the tickets to Norway!! Sooo yeah, guys there's no chance for you to get rid from us right now ;P Prepare your houses, families, neighbours and yourselves for us cause we're coming to you in April, yayyy!!

Fundraising

A big part of our Poland exchange project has been about fundraising.
The last three years we have put a lot of time and effort inn to it, and we are pleased with our result.
Here are some of the things we have done to raise money for the exchange:

Bazaar
Last winter we arranged a bazaar at our local elder center, where we sold lottery tickets and the elders could win prices.
The local stores were really helpful and sponsored us with a lot of nice prices.
The elders seemed verey pleased and we all had a really good time :)

 

 

 

Collecting bottles for deposit
I don’t know if you have the same system in Poland, but in Norway its normal to return used bottles for deposit and get money in return. Therefore, the boys in our class collected A LOT of bottles.

Arranging products for a Christmas market
Last week three of us got a job at “Egmont Publishing” which is Norway's largest publishing company of weeklies and magazines. They also publish cartoons, books and movies.
Our job was to unpack products out of boxes, arrange, and store them for one of their Christmas markets.

Other than this we have had several bake sales, sold toilet paper and we have been babysitting.  We have also arranged two school parties. One last year celebrating summer break for 9^th graders (our grade) , and one welcome party for the new 8^th graders starting at our School.

I think everyone  should know about their projects. Everyone’s going to make it with an exchange partner. In it we are going to talk and write about differences betwen our countries.  Our projects are going to be done at exchange’s time. So let’s start and good luck.

This is us!

Hi everyone!
I thought I would make this blog post about who we are and how we work.
Well we are fourteen 10^th graders taking a subject called International Contacts. This is a subject where we learn about different cultures, make contact with people in other countries than our own (like you guys)

This is a subject we have had for three years and we have had the opportunity to experience a lot trough this subject. We have visited the UN office in Norway, a military camp where doctors learn to work in field conditions- this is a trip we made as we were learning and making presentations about Medicines Sans Frontieres, and also a lot of other exciting projects.

But our main project has been planning an exchange with you, our Polish partners. J
This is a project we have found very fun and exciting since we first made contact with you almost three years ago in 8^th grade. We have already learned a lot about Polish culture through our cooperation and can’t wait to meet you all and learn even more.

the second Post! (Whooa!!  1, it's the second!)

Today is Wednesday. Tomorrow it will be Thursday.
Thursday means...MONEY,MONEY,MONEY!
From (around) May we started earning money for the plane tickets. We've baked lots of different cakes and cupcakes (muffins). Some only with chocolate (like brownie), other with fruit. And of course mine (and Bartek's) outstanding, lovely, delicious and fabulous gluten-free cheesecake!!!Just kidding with those adjectives..

Now don't disturb me 'coz I'm trying to study for my Polish grammar test (T.T)

First post! (exept first)

As everybody knows we started our exchange.This is the only topic which comes to my mind. So we were instructed to communicate ourselves via Twinspace (Etwinning), but we didn't do it, even a bit. We preferred to use Facebook which (of course) is easier for us. Another problem was limited access for using it logged as a student.
If am I right, the Norwegians are going to visit us first. You got our ideas about all sightseeing plans. Some of them are on this unreadable below pic.

We are making progress! UhU.
I think it's enough for the beginning.
